Lac-Albert Property

Lac-Albert Property

The project

Sayona is significantly increasing its production potential with this new property. This promising site, a few kilometres away from the Moblan project, will bring strength to Sayona’s lithium cluster, improving its chances to supply the electric vehicle and battery industry.

The site has several advantages: it’s easily accessible in all seasons by the North Road, it’s well served by major transportation infrastructure, and has access to low-cost, environmentally friendly hydroelectric power.

The Lac-Albert property is located on Cree territory, on Category III lands under the James Bay Agreement. In keeping with its ongoing commitment to First Nations and local communities, Sayona holds regular meetings with the Cree community of Mistissini, the tallymen, and the local communities of Chapais and Chibougamau.

Key points

The Lac-Albert property benefits from its geology and location; its 6,592 hectares will be evaluated for lithium pegmatite deposits.

With the 121 claims of the Moblan property and the Lac-Albert property, Sayona is balancing its portfolio between lithium exploration and mining projects.

Location

Located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay territory, the Lac-Albert property is 3.5 km west of the Moblan project. It is accessible year-round by the North Road.
