La Motte, February 28, 2023 – Sayona’s Quebec CEO, Guy Belleau, is proud to announce the appointment of Sébastien Boivin as General Manager of the North American Lithium Complex. Sébastien had been the plant’s optimization manager since December 2022.

Mr. Boivin has 28 years of experience in the mining industry. He most recently served as Vice President and General Manager at Niobec Inc., one of the world’s leading niobium producers. He previously served as General Superintendent of Operations and Director of Operations at the same company before he became an executive in 2018. As a seasoned manager, his expertise will be put to good use at the NAL Complex. He will be responsible for implementing Sayona’s key orientations and ensuring the complex becomes a shining example of success in the global lithium industry.

“I would also like to thank Mr. Yves Desrosiers for having acted as interim general manager in the last few months. He has several years of experience at the Complex site, and he provided excellent leadership and made sure the operations team was ready for the plant restart,” added Belleau. Mr. Desrosiers will remain on the team. In the coming weeks, he will make sure the transition goes smoothly while providing important support for various projects at the plant. He will also work on other mandates associated with the company’s strategic plan.
